2018爱奔跑3.0,693民众609一起为爱奔跑,筹获逾2万5千令吉
这项由吉隆坡沐恩关怀基金会所主办的第三届慈善义跑——2018爱奔跑3.0活动,成功吸引逾693位民众参与。6月9日(星期六)当天清晨风和日丽,晴空万里,民众携老带少,成群结伴,集合于甲洞大都会公园,一起为爱奔跑,为慈善公益献出一份棉力。
吉隆坡沐恩关怀基金会主席林城礼先生在致欢迎词时表示,他为着民众参与慈善的热忱感到鼓舞。一个月前,509当天民众清早出门投票,希望国家有所改变,而我们做到了!一个月后的今天,民众清早聚集在此,也希望能改变自己,立志过健康美好的生活。其次,因着爱国,社会各阶层人士,甚至小孩都捐献马来西亚希望基金,而今天大家同样也因着爱那些有需要的弱势群体,参与这项爱奔跑活动。
509过后,全国人民希望看到国家改变,更好的政府、财务透明、司法独立、更有效率的公仆、更强稳的经济……今天,民众的参与及所捐献的款项也将为孤儿寡妇、残障朋友及有需要的家庭带来希望,以便能改善他们的生活。
最后,他重申民众透过参与这项充满爱心的活动,将重新为自己和他人带来改变、爱、希望和喜乐。
受邀嘉宾马来西亚基督教卫理公会华人年议会中部第一教区长郭进吟牧师也在致词中指出,爱奔跑活动不单是爱自己(健康)的表现,同时也是爱他人的举动,借着参与,将所筹集的款项捐献给社区里有需要的贫穷家庭和弱势群体。
他也说:“《圣经》里使徒保罗有提到,我奔跑不像无定向的(歌前9:26)。因此,他盼望每一个参加者能带着爱的使命去奔跑,不单是为了奖项,也爱自己,爱我们所居住的社区,爱我们的国家!”
主办单位当天也个别拨款5千令吉给甲洞美门残障关怀中心及华人年议会吉隆坡卫理儿童之家,现场移交支票给上述两个福利机构负责人,作为该两个机构建筑金用途。另外,卫理公会沐恩堂也借此活动,将为数5千令吉的款项移交给马来西亚基督教卫理公会华人年议会作为马来西亚希望基金捐款,由郭进吟牧师代收。
今年的慈善义跑活动分为四个组别,分别是男女公开组(10.5公里),另外还有友谊
组及家庭亲子组(3.5公里)。男子公开组有142位民众报名参加,女子公开组有124位,友谊组232位,而家庭亲子组则有195位。
男女公开组以竞赛方式进行,前三名优胜者分别获得一座精美奖杯及一支限量版特制水瓶。连续两年参加的Darren Looi以39分34秒成功卫冕,亚军Ryan Tan则创下40分10秒的成绩,而 Parthivan A/L Kannapan 则以11微差落后,三名优胜者实力非常接近;女子组方面,来自美国的33岁Susan Swier以46分36秒夺冠,亚军则是去年登顶的陈佩云,今年她以53分23秒屈居亚军,而季军则由Diana Mohammad夺得,她以57分03秒完成赛程。
当天,每一位参加者在完成赛程后,都可获得一枚奖牌和商品礼包。今年的奖牌是O型设计,加上去年的L型奖牌,连续参加两年的民众已凑足两款奖牌。爱奔跑活动从2017至2020分别以L.O.V.E四个英语字母设计出四款能拼在一起的奖牌,同时也能独立成型。
今年首次参加的民众则可现场捐献100令吉,以获得L型奖牌,同时为慈善做出贡献,一举两得。
当天的义跑活动也设有幸运抽奖环节,27份赞助的奖品价值高达4千700令吉让参加者们赢取。获奖的参加者,无论大人小孩,个个都喜出望外,兴奋不已!
今年的活动也得到共达17个商家企业赞助,包括商品和礼券,分别有黄金视力眼贴、麦当劳、GoodMorning Global 、Milo(Nestle) 、99 Speedmart、Gardenia、Fitbar、Melilea、Moma Water、Salonpas、Premium United Foods、YSP Industries、Signature Market、My Art and Craft Gallery、Pathlab、The Reeds Boutique Hotel及Worldview Grand Hotel,另外现金赞助共1,180令吉。

Love Run 3.0 2018, 693 citizens run together on 9th June raised over RM25,000
Love Run 3.0 – the 3rd year of charity run held by Muk En Foundation KL has successfully attracted 693 participants. Participants gathered at Kepong Metropolitan Park in the morning of 9th June (Saturday) to run for love and show their support to this charity event.
Chairman of Muk En Foundation KL, Mr Ling Siang Leh said he was deeply encouraged by the enthusiasm of the citizens in participating the charity event. A month ago, citizens came out early in the morning of 509 to vote with the hope that there will be changes in our country. A month later, citizens gathered here early in the morning with the hope to transform themselves for a healthier lifestyle. Secondly, most of the citizens including children had donated to the Malaysia Hope Fund to show our patriotism whereas today, we participated in the Love Run event to show our love to those vulnerable groups who are in need.
After 509, the nation people are hoping to see the country transformation with better government, financial transparency, independent judiciary, more efficient government servants, stronger economy… Today, the participation and donations from the citizens will bring hopes to the orphans and widows, disabled people and families in need so that they can improve their living conditions.
He reemphasize that the citizens shall bring transformation, love, hope and joy for themselves and others by participating in this charity event.
The invited guest, Chinese Annual Conference Central District 1 Superintendent Rev Kok Chin Ngin, said that Love Run event is not only a manifestation of love oneself (for health), at the same time is an act of loving others, through participation, fund raised will be donated to the needy poor families and vulnerable groups in the community.
He also said, “The Bibles says that Apostle Paul mentioned that I therefore so run, not with uncertainty (1Co 9:26). Therefore, he hoped that each participant can run with a love mission, not only for the awards, also love oneself, love the community we live in and love our country!”
The organizer has allocated RM 5,000 to Beautiful Gate Foundation for The Disabled and CAC Children’s Home KL Centre, cheques were handed over to the person in charge of both welfare agencies for their agencies construction funds. In addition, Muk En Methodist Church also handed over RM 5,000 to the Chinese Annual Conference for the donation of Malaysia Hope Fund and was received by Rev Kok.
This charity run were categorized into Men and Women Open group (10.5km),
Friendly Run and Family Fun Run (3.5km). There are total of 142 signed up for Men open, 124 signed up for Women open, 232 signed up in Friendly Run and 195 signed up in Family Fun Run.
Then Men and Women Open were conducted in competition mode where a fine trophy and limited-edition water bottle were given away to the top three winners. Darren Looi who participated in the second consecutive year successfully defended with 39”34’, runner up Ryan Tan scored 40”10’, and Parthivan A/L Kannapan trailed 11’ behind. On the other hand, 33-year old Susan Swier from the United States won the championship with 46”36’. The runner-up was Chen Peiyun who was the champion last year. This year she finished second with 53”23’, while the third place was won by Diana Mohammad. She scored 57”03’.
Apart from the top three winners, a medal and merchandise goodies bag were given away to all the participants after completing the run. The medal for this charity run is an O-letter design. In addition to the L-letter medal last year, people who have participated in two consecutive years have collected two medals. The Love Run event designed four medals that can be put together in four English letters in L.O.V.E from 2017 to 2020.
People who joined this charity run for the first time can donate RM100 to collect the L-letter medals and at the same time contribute to charity.
There was a lucky draw session on the same day. Total of 27 sponsored prizes worth RM4,700 were given out for the participants to win. The lucky draw winner, regardless of adults and children, were all overjoyed and excited!
This event was sponsored by a total of 17 merchant companies, including Golden Vision Eye, McDonald’s, Good Morning Global, Milo (Nestle), 99 Speedmart, Gardenia, Fitbar, Melilea, Moma Water, Salonpas, Premium United Foods, YSP Industries, Signature Market, My Art and Craft Gallery, Pathlab, The Reeds Boutique Hotel and Worldview Grand Hotel, in addition to cash sponsorships total of RM1,180.
