一年前的计划，经过半年的筹备，在短短的两个月公开网络及来电报名，2016“爱奔跑”慈善义跑活动吸引了522名公众朋友报名参加，沐恩家约有165位弟兄姐妹和小孩。活动估计筹获4万余令吉。

2016“爱奔跑”慈善义跑活动乃由吉隆坡沐恩关怀基金会所主办，由马来西亚基督教卫理公会华人年议会青年团协办。举办此项义跑活动的目的主要是为了筹募充足的基金作为基金会常年社会关怀工作的经费以及推介基金会让社区人士认识这事工。

由于慈惠工作需要投入大笔资金，因此吉隆坡沐恩关怀基金会盼望能取之社会，用之社会，结合社会上私人企业、善心人翁及广大公众朋友的力量，一同出钱出力，以爱心去服侍首都吉隆坡里缺乏经济能力及需要帮助的家庭、学生及弱势群体。

当天的活动假甲洞大都会公园举行，共分为两个组别，分别是18岁以上男女公开组及家庭组（至少一个家长和一个孩子）。公开组的赛程是10.5公里（3圈），而家庭组则是3.5公里（一圈）。

当天清晨6时左右，参赛者便开始陆续集合于甲洞大都会公园。7时正，活动备有一个简单的开幕礼。

吉隆坡沐恩关怀基金会主席在致欢迎词时说，今天是特别有意义的一天，因为清晨虽然天气凉爽，但每个参加义跑的参赛者心里却是火热的，要为社会上有需要的贫寒和弱势群体而奔跑。沐恩关怀基金会也会结合社会大众的力量，继续以火热的心服侍和帮助社会上有需要的人，共同建造一个有爱的社会。

马来西亚基督教卫理公会华人年议会中部第一教区长郭进吟牧师也在致词上提到，大家清晨聚集在公园里，一同为爱为慈善奔跑是一件非常美的事。他继续说，爱是静态，奔跑是动态；当爱变成动力，用得正面时，力量是非常的大。他继续指出，人们应该时常从有需要的群体去设想，带着来自神的爱去帮助孤儿寡妇和残障朋友。

义跑活动也鼓励民众在参与有益身心活动之余，也可开心做慈善，一举两得，家长与孩子有更多互动的机会，促进亲子关系。

虽然基金会首次举办义跑活动，却得到民众们极热烈的反应，即使到了活动前一天，依然有民众致电进来报名。除了马来西亚公民，活动也吸引了些外籍人士参加，吸引了约18名来自不同国家的朋友参与，一同为爱为慈善而奔跑。

当天活动于上午10时左右结束，盼望明年再办义跑活动，能再接再厉，吸引更多民众参与。

After six months of preparation, 2016 “Love Run” charity marathon had attracted 522 people from the public to participate where 165 of the participants are MEMC members. Estimated of RM30K is being raised from this event.

2016 “Love Run” charity marathon event was organised by Muk En Community Care Centre together with the co-organizer Malaysia Methodist Chinese Annual Conference Youth fellowship. The objective for this event is to raise fund for the foundation to support the social community work.

Large amount of fund is required to support the charity work, therefore, Muk En community care foundation is consolidating the contribution from the entrepreneur, kind-hearted people and the public to help the financially poor and needing family, students and disabled group in Kuala Lumpur.

The event was held in Kepong Metropolitan Park and was divided into two category 10.5KM Men & Women Open (for age 18 and above) and 3.5KM family (parents with a kids age 13 and below).

The participants gradually assemble at Kepong Metropolitan Park at 6am in the morning and a simple opening ceremony was commenced at 7am sharp.

The president of Muk En community care foundation said that “Today is a meaningful day, although the weather is cool early in the morning but every participants had got a fervent heart that everyone run for the poor and weak group of the society.” In his welcoming speech. Muk En community care foundation has consolidate the power of the public to continue to serve and help the needs in the community with a fervent heart. Together, we build a community of love.

Malaysia Methodist Chinese annual conference central first district president Rev Guo Jin Ming had mentioned in his speech, “it is something beautiful that everyone gather in the park early in the morning to run for love and for charity. Love is static while run is dynamic. When love turn into a momentum and use positively, it shall generate a great power. We shall always think from the perspective of the needing group, and with the love from the God, we shall offer our helps to the orphan, widows and the disabled.”

This event can be said as one stone kill two birds as it encouraged the public to do exercise and at the same time do charity with a joyful heart. The 3.5KM category had as well provided the interaction opportunity to the parents and their children and tighten the family bonding.

Although this was the first charity run event organised by the foundation, it had gotten a very enthusiastic response from the public that there are still people who called in to enrol on the day before the event. The event had as well attracted people from 18 different country to participate.

The event ended at around 10am. We are hoping that we can do better and better in organizing charity run event in the year to come.
